        "resumen" => "<span class="elsevierStyleBold">Background&#58;</span> To evaluate changes in the quality of life &#40;QoL&#41;&#44;of asthmatic children after aqua aerobic exercise in an air-conditioned environment&#46; <span class="elsevierStyleBold">Subjects and methods&#58;</span> We divided 22 asthmatic children into two groups&#58; an experimental group and a control group&#44; with 11 children in each group&#46; Each child was administered the specially designed quality of life questionnaire for asthmatic children &#40;PAQLQ&#41;&#46; The experimental group was also given aqua aerobic training in an air-conditioned environment&#44; lasting 18 weeks&#44; after which the PAQLQ was repeated in both groups&#46; <span class="elsevierStyleBold">Results&#58;</span> The initial results of the PAQLQ questionnaire showed that in 8 of the 23 questions the experimental group had lower average QoL values &#40; <span class="elsevierStyleItalic">P</span>&#61;&#46;05&#41;&#46; When comparing the sum of the differences in the results at the second application minus the initial results in both groups&#44; we found a significant improvement in the QoL of the experimental group compared with that in the control group &#40;experimental group&#58; 582&#59; control group&#58; &#173;32&#41;&#46; <span class="elsevierStyleBold">Conclusion&#58;</span> Aqua-aerobic exercise in an air-conditioned environment improves the QoL of asthmatic children and can be considered a prophylactic factor in the prevention of exercise-induced crises&#46;"
