        "resumen" => "<span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle"> Introduction</span><br/><p class="elsevierStylePara"> The study of running kinematics provides useful information for optimising performance and to prevent injuries&#46; Some relationship has been found between running kinematics and foot type&#44; but this remains unclear&#46; One method for the static classification of the foot is the foot posture index&#44; which stands out by its simplicity&#46;</p><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle"> Objectives</span><br/><p class="elsevierStylePara"> The main objective of this study is to analyse the relationship between the foot posture index and various kinematic temporal parameters during running&#46; Secondary objectives are to assess whether km&#47;week and body mass index influence these parameters&#46;</p><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle"> Methods</span><br/><p class="elsevierStylePara"> A pilot study was performed by analysing 25 subjects &#40;15 men and 10 women&#41; &#40;age 28&#160;&#177;&#160;9&#46;1 years&#59; 67&#160;&#177;&#160;13&#46;3&#160;kg weight&#44; height 1&#46;69&#160;&#177;&#160;0&#46;08&#160;m&#59; BMI 23&#46;2&#160;&#177;&#160;3&#46;2&#160;kg&#47;m<span class="elsevierStyleSup">2</span>&#41;&#46; An analysis was made of the foot posture index&#44; kilometres per week&#44; body mass index and temporal kinematics parameters during running were assessed &#40;contact time&#44; flight time&#44; stride time and stride frequency&#41;&#46; All measurements were performed on a treadmill at a speed of 2&#46;43&#160;m&#47;s&#46; The recordings were made using a camera at a frequency of 480&#160;Hz&#46; The kinematic variables were analysed with the software&#44; KINOVEA&#174;&#46;</p><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle"> Results</span><br/><p class="elsevierStylePara"> Of the variables analysed&#44; only flight time &#40;t&#160;&#61;&#160;2&#46;689&#59; p&#160;&#61;&#160;&#46;013&#41; and stride frequency &#40;t&#160;&#61;&#160;-2&#46;249&#59; p&#160;&#61;&#160;&#46;034&#41; showed significant differences related to km per week&#46; Out of the other variables analysed&#44; no significant differences were found &#40;p &#60;0&#46;05&#41;&#46;</p><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle"> Conclusions</span><br/><p class="elsevierStylePara"> For the studied sample&#44; the foot posture index is not significantly associated with the kinematic parameters analysed&#46; The results of this study suggest that out of the different variables analysed&#44; only the flight time and stride frequency seem to be significantly influenced by the weekly training volume&#46;</p>"
